02 / LONGWOOD LABS · WEB3 GAMING

DeFi Dungeons

Building a web3 game
from the first idea.

I created DeFi Dungeons from zero to one at Longwood Labs. The game brings together heroes, crafting, dungeon exploration, and an in-game marketplace.

01 / THE PRODUCT

Building the game
around the assets.

Alongside the NFT and token launch, there was a game to build and a set of activities to connect.

Players could summon heroes, craft equipment, explore dungeons, and trade items. Each activity had its own rules, but they needed to make sense as parts of the same game.

HOW THE GAME FITS TOGETHERHeroes, equipment, exploration, and trading
01

Heroes

Character identity, summoning, and training.

02

Equipment

Recipes, resources, crafting, and gem slots.

03

Exploration

Locations, bosses, and party status.

04

Economy

Item listings, trading, and token-based participation.

02 / GETTING AROUND

Give each activity
a place in the world.

Crafting, training, and summoning appear as places in the town. In the dungeons, the surroundings change, but access to heroes, the marketplace, and chat stays familiar.

03 / THE MARKETPLACE

Finding and trading
equipment.

The marketplace had to handle a straightforward task: help players find an item, compare its attributes and price, and buy it or manage their own listings.

01

Find the right item

Players can narrow the catalogue by character or item type, search for something specific, or change the sort order.

02

Compare the listing details

Each listing puts the item’s artwork, attributes, price, and Buy action together.

03

Keep buying and selling separate

Tabs let players move between buying, selling, their active listings, and previous activity.

The fantasy setting carries through the storefront, but the item details and trading controls still need to be easy to read.

04 / CRAFTING & EVENTS

Show what crafting
actually requires.

Before crafting equipment, players need to see what it does, what resources it takes, and whether they have enough.

06 / LAUNCH OUTCOME

Launching the product
and raising $6 million.

Taking DeFi Dungeons from an idea to launch meant bringing the game and its economy together as one product.

The combined token and NFT launch raised $6 million for the project. That is the launch result; the screens above show the game we built around it.
